Terminator 3: The Redemption PS2 preview

According to Paradigm, 50 percent of the gameplay is vehicle-based, with rail (25 percent) and character combat (25 percent) filling out the rest.

Grand Theft Auto III may seem to be an inspiration for the game, as you can steal a bunch of SkyNET's vehicles. (And that's fair game, since Arnold was created by SkyNET, he's able to hack into its mainframe.)

However, despite the ability to car-jack SkyNET's vehicles, the gameplay is not open like GTA III.

It's a nice touch that you can steal SKYNET's vehicles, but if the T-850 is going travel for 50% in/on a vehicle, and then for another 25% in a moving vehicle like the chopper, then it seems he's really not much doing by foot.

Anyway, we're really hyped for this game, and we can't wait to play it. It will be released around August 24.
