Arnie and Terminator 3 cast join MTV in Cannes

The annual MTV at The Movies party at the Cannes Film Festival, held on Saturday 17 May, was once again the hottest ticket in town this year. The stars turned out in force at Pierre Cardin's spectacular cliff-top villa, including Terminator 3 stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Claire Danes, Kristana Locken and Nick Stahl. Jerry Hall, Dolce & Gabbana, Oscar winner Adrian Brody, Joseph Fiennes and Italian actress Manuela Arcuri were also spotted.

Champagne, designer clothes and beautiful people aside, MTV's Cannes parties have become the stuff of legend because they bring a much-needed rock'n'roll vibe to the Film Festival, and 2003 was no exception. UK dance-funk heroes Groove Armada had the crowd going wild until dawn with their very best impressions of the T-101 and inspired collection of dirty house tunes. Then the excellent Cuban Brothers added a touch of hysteria to proceedings by stripping off mid-performance.

Partygoers who had enjoyed themselves just a bit too much to remember quite what went on, were seen fighting over copies of the Hollywood Reporter the next day - the event was awarded a fantastic four 'Martinis' out of a possible five by the magazine's notoriously picky party reviewer.
