There is still not much known about what the story of the new Terminator 4 movie is going to be... let alone the
proclaimed trilogy. But that does not stop us fans from debating about it. What will the future bring?
First and foremost, there is talk about what year this new movie will take place. According to the info only and
extrapolations by the fans, this is estimated to play around 2019. Setting this date (or year) is important to us
(and the producers and writers, lets hope they read this), because there are some facts about the future that thus
'should' take place (not taken into concideration that it could be an alternate timeline, as T3 has somewhat
stippulated).
Soo... the year 2019. What is soo important about that? Well... the previous movies stippulated certain events to
take place at certain dates in time, even if this meant dates that are still to come (thus in the future). Most
of our different timelines can be viewed in the Terminator Timelines section of
our site. Even with just three movies running, we extrapolated several timelines already, but most of them contain
dates and events that are somewhere in the same years.
Sure... we proclaim to have detailed files at TerminatorFiles. But its the fans themselfs, those many and mucho around
us, that have made these timelines possible. Just like Scanman22, a frequent poster at our forums
that has extensive stippulated what should happen, or more important, what should not.
Scanman22 has posted this indepth guide and it was the closest thing we could find that depicted what Terminator 4
should be about. Soo... playing in 2019, it could only feature HK's or the T-200 through to T-600 series. As Kyle
Reese stated in the first The Terminator movie (not exact quote): "The 600 series had rubber skin, and were easy
to spot".
Soo... whats this article about then?
If the producers and writers come up with flesh covered Terminators (thus in our book, the T-800 series), in freaking
2019... then they are way of of the Terminator Mythology. Then Terminator 4 (or Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins)
really us screwed beyond recognition. Or at least by the hardcore fans.
Then again... they ARE creating a new fanbase; PG-13, remember?
The good old past
We all know that thus far we've had three Terminator movies; 'The Terminator' (1984), Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991)
and 'Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines' (2003). We also know that the last one has devided the fanbase into two camps,
pro and con. Well... three camps actually, since there also those that are neutral about the movie (like me?). Never the
less... fans from all around the world have made several fanmade movies to show their love for the movies, and to keep
our love true (since we ARE TerminatorFiles), we've got a little treat for you folks.
