Rumours of T4 cancelled and T:SCC returning
|
|
|
Either there is not much news going around or its by unreliable sources claiming that something is cancelled and something else is
renewed. That latest gossip -that at first we did not take into concideration- is that 'someone told someone' that T4 was cancelled
and another more trusted source (at least being 'up there') said that T:SCC had a good chance at a renewed season.
Since the release of either of these rumours, we did not see many other sites post about it. Given our nature to double check for
validity of posting news on our own site, we did not. But to keep you folks in the loop of things, even of those highly doubtfull
ones, here is the lowdown on both.
Has T4 Been Shut Down?
Source: movieblog.ugo.com
"McG's T4, which was in active pre-production for a May 2009 release, may have been shut down by Warner Brothers. According to my source,
a crew member was recently overheard discussing his newfound free schedule due to the production shutting down."
"Terminator 4's cast includes Christian Bale as John Connor, Anton Yelchin as Kyle Reese and Avatar's Sam Worthington. No word yet on
how official this is, although I expect an official announcement soon."
"I don't see this as bad news. While I'm not necessarily a McG-hater, I just wasn't feeling this. The saga has been driven into the
ground at this point and needs to be terminated altogether. I'd rather hear that they've shut down to regroup and make this the best
it can be rather than have it fast-tracked and half-assed. Although, if it were my judgment day, this production wouldn't have even
gotten as far as it had. Your thoughts?"

Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly confirms season 2 of T:SCC!
Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com
In an interview by Hollywood Reporter's James Hibberd with Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly, there are some questions asked
about the possible renewal of series and other tidbits. This it what Mr. Reilly had to say about T:SCC.
THR: "Among Fox's freshman shows, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Back To You are expected to come back next
fall. Any others viewers shouldn't count out?"
Reilly: "They're really the lead candidates at this point. We've already started staffing on Sarah Connor. Although it was
an unusual season, it will end up finishing by far and away the strongest new drama of the season. Other shows have not gotten the
traction. Just because competition is softer doesn't mean audience has to watch a show."
Previous news items on T:SCC included the 'greenlight for the SCC producers to start hiring directors', but also some cast and
crew talking about their possible involvment with the new series.
