Get out those agendas, interactive portfolios, Palm's, iPods and other media... and mark you callendars, fanboys
and -gals... 'cause Variety reports the official release date for T4 to be May 22nd, 2009!
From Variety
Warner Bros. will open McG's Christian Bale starrer "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" on May 22, 2009, the
start of Memorial Day weekend. That puts two tentpoles on the same date, even though the release calendar for summer
2009 is still relatively open.
Twentieth Century Fox had already staked out May 22 for the bow of the Ben Stiller sequel "Night at the Museum II:
Escape From the Smithsonian." First film grossed $250.9 million domestically.
Warner will distribute the pic in North America through a deal with Halcyon Co., which owns all franchise rights to
the "Terminator" series.
The last film in the franchise, "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines," bowed in 2003 and grossed $150.4 million
domestically.
"T4" begins lensing in New Mexico for two months on May 5. The state has become a favorite locale for producers
because of its production tax incentives.
Storyline is being kept under tight wraps, but plot is part of a planned three-picture arc that begins after Skynet
has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust. A group of survivors led by John Connor (Bale) struggles to
stop the machines. Sam Worthington ("Avatar") is in talks to star as well.

More Terminator 4 news
Terminator fan Mirza Abbas dropped in to tell us about a company that is readying script elements for the pre-production
of the next Terminator movie. These days, simple concepts and storyboard drawings are not that sufficient
enough to portray actions that are to be taken when making a movie. Most companies these days do a lot of pre-vis before
shooting something, some even testing out physics in 3D.
Well... Appearently, the production team behind 'Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins' (damn, that title again) have
taken that into account too... and have joined with a pre-viz company called Proof Inc.
The T4 movie is mentioned on their site under the Previs/Movies section, being under pre-viz preproduction. We hope that
more info will appear soon, though some of the images could as well be launched after the movie has gone into theaters.
But all those interested in news around Terminator 4: The Future Begins (a lot better title, don't you think?), seeking
info, keeping sites bookmarked and checking there contents on a regular basis, would do good to ad Proof Inc. to their
lists. Or at least, we will ;).
Got other great news to share, then be sure to sent it in for inclusion onto our site,
for all other Terminator fans to pre- and review!
Thanx to 'RossBondReturns', 'Omar', 'Erika' and 'Mirza Abbas' for their combined heads-up on this news!
