Limited Sideshow Collectibles
|
|
|
Sideshow Collectibles keeps announcing that most of its (Terminator) collectibles are released in yet smaller
limited edition sizes. First they offer their entire collectible range in unlimited edition sizes, which means
that unlimited orders could be placed. Then they downscale their ordering system to only a few orders of the same
collectible per fan (which is fine by us, the more fans can enjoy the same collectible).
Then, however, they decide to scrap some of their highest selling collectibles, with only a few back-ordered
being available from their factories. This has happened on two occasions as far as we know. Maybe this is
because of high production costs... but maybe not. TerminatorFiles knows more; read on for insider info.
On a more recent basis, they've however decided to downscale all of their most prized productions and line-ups,
even including new to be released items?! All new collectibles being produced, are limited to approx. 1.000 ratios,
or less.
Well... this might be concidered a downer on most collectors. Fans from around the world have already asked us
about this and we can only agree on their motivations; its hard to decide what kind of cash you are willing to
spent on what kind of collectible. Even more soo, when there are new collectibles coming onto the market that are
set to be limited.
In the past it was possible to safe-up for all of them or at least a few of them, yet with this new marketing
tactic, collectible acquisitions have to be made this instance... or fans need to pay more whenever they do have
the money, but the collectible has to be ordering through other retailers or online auctions who in turn ask more
for that specific collectible.
Not such a good thing anyway... or is it?
Well... In a way it isn't, but Sideshow has not done this to just cash-in on fast acting fans who decide this
instance. Sure, its a commercial attitude which makes them money, but they are in it for the long run, we assure
you.
Both Sideshow Collectibles and some other sources affiliated with the biggest collectibles producers to date,
have ensured us that this tactic by Sideshow is done for one thing only: being able to focus on developing new
markets, new bigger and fatter collectibles, more fun for all of us fans.
Yup... you've heared it correct; more collectibles are in the making! More cool memorabilia, with some special
items which will definately rock! TerminatorFiles has been informed and shown an insiders look at some of their
new collectible ranges and we think this looks very promising. And though even we find it somewhat disappointing
that sales of current collectibles are set to limited edition sizes, we also find it an interesting idea to put
some production money in new Terminator collectibles.
In the end, its the new stuff we all are interested in... maybe even that special items we ourselfs would love
to seen produced. Not just some of the same, but total new collectibles all the way!

So... there are some new collectibles around the corner?! New stuff in the making?! We'd love to show them off to
you folks, and sure... having become somewhat of an insider has had its perks in the past, but this also means we
have to keep a lid on new things coming your way. So sorry... thats a downside on being informed of upcoming
collectible ranges. But that does not stop us from teasing, right?! ;).
Sideshow Collectibles has just announced some more information about its current Terminator collectible ranges.
Are you one of the fans able to acquire one or more of these items, then be sure to do so! Whenever gone, Sideshow
