Thomas Dekker is John Connor

ComingSoon.net announces that the new role for John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been cast. The main characters of the new TV series are basicly set... but is it going to be accepted by the fan community? The votes are devided on it... as were to pros and cons of fans that were either for or agains the way T3 turned out.

A pilot series is thus in the making? Will there be Terminator sent from the future? How can the characters ever be able to have seen them, when both never refered to it in the third movie? John Connor (Nick Stahl): "You shouldn't excist! We blew up Cyberdyne years ago!"

Well... we are sure the writers of the series either are creative enough to start a new franchise (or try to kick-start one of of the back of the trilogy itself)... or, worse, make an independent series that does not take the movies themselfs into account (though they did say that it would be a series about Sarah and John living between T2 and T3). On second thought... a spin-off wouldn't be that bad, as long as the fans concider not to take the storylines in the movies into account.

Thomas Dekker is set to play John Connor in Fox's drama pilot "The Sarah Connor Chronicles," from WBTV and C2, the company of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines producers Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna."

Written by Josh Friedman, the project takes place after the events depicted in Terminator 2: Judgment Day and follows Sarah Connor (Lena Headey), a modern warrior and loving single mom to 15-year-old son John (Dekker).

Dekker recurs on NBC's hit new drama "Heroes" as Zach, Claire's (Hayden Panettiere) friend and confidant.

He also had a recurring role on "7th Heaven" and recently guest starred on Fox's "House" and CBS' "Shark."
