Governator 2: Re-election Day
|
|
|
Arnold has breezed through the re-election, defeating Democrat rival Phil Angelides. The Terminator star won a landslide
second term in office with his campaign team allegedly declaring victory at a Beverly Hills reception around 20 minutes
after polls closed on the 7th of November.
After casting his vote the Hollywood star admitted he was confident of victory, saying, "I think that the campaign was,
in comparison to other campaigns, very positive, very upbeat." On hearing he'd been re-elected, Schwarzenegger said he
couldn't wait to bring all voters together to "live the Californian dream".
He added, "I'm honoured to serve as your Governor." Schwarzenegger's Republican win comes as the rest of America saw a
tilt towards the Democrat party in the mid-term elections. But the 59-year-old hasn't left himself much time to savour
the victory - he left for a trade mission to Mexico a day later.

Its another sad day for Terminator and Arnold fans. The actor turned politician has won the re-election for Governor
of California and will sit out another term. Thats minus the inator.
We've been keeping our thumbs crossed in the hope that Arnold would return to his acting carreer (though we still
wish him all the best in his new carreer choice)... but all was in vain.
To cheer some of you folks up, we've included a funny custom made episode of another cult-status semi-cyborg; Inspector
Gadget. Most of us fondly remember this cartoon series, as it was shown back in the eighties... but has now been put into
a whole new style. I guess we've always know there was something fishy with this nutty police-man... or is it a machine?
