If there's one movie that's sure to propel any star in the making to grand heights, it's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Blonde beauty Alana Curry - who has been actively working in commercials, on TV series and independent films - won the much coveted role of Bill Anderson's teenage girlfriend in the futuristic blockbuster, and as she tells Clint Morris, it's been one heck of a ride, she's now just hanging on for life as the film gets set to open to eager Terminator fans.

In Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, a decade has passed since John Connor helped prevent Judgment Day and save mankind from mass destruction. Now 25, Connor lives 'off the grid': no home, no credit cards, no cell phone and no record of his existence. No way he can be traced by Skynet, the highly developed network of machines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Until, out of the shadows of the future steps the TX, Skynet's most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet. Sent back through time to complete the job left unfinished by her predecessor, the T-1000, the TX is as relentless as her human guise is beautiful. Now Connor's only hope for survival is the Terminator, his mysterious former assassin. Together, they must triumph over the technologically superior TX and forestall the looming threat of Judgment Day ...or face the apocalypse and the fall of civilization as we know it.

Firstly, how does it feel to be part of the Terminator legacy?

It feels incredible to be part of such a legendary series. Terminator fans are so loyal and there is such a big following for the Terminator movies.

Who is your character?

I play a teenager and me and my boyfriend, Bill Anderson (played by Brian Sites) are having a party when the Terminatrix crashes it and comes after us. You'll just have to see the movie to see what happens to us.

There's a lot to live up to in contrast to the two previous movies. What can we expect from the film?

I'm really excited to see the fans reactions. I think the special effects will be so much better than the previous films, simply because SFX has come so far since ten years ago.

Not to give too much away, but any injuries to you or anyone else?

I can't speak for anyone else, but I didn't have any injuries. The only funny thing was during a scene I was filming with Kristianna Loken there is a gun that fires and the bullet shell hit my bare foot (because I was wearing sandals). I tell you, that stung so bad but I had to grin and bear it because we were rolling.

And tell me, what's Arnold Schwarzenegger really like?

He's a really nice guy and still looks fabulous, if I do say so myself. I have a great experience with everyone on the film.

You've got another film in the works called Is this Seat Taken' - how's that going?

It's a great independent movie, really well written, very witty and funny. It should be hitting the film festival circuit and then onto video/dvd after that. I worked with some really talented actors and had a great time on that film.

You've done a bit of TV - hows that differ from doing films?

I love doing televsion. I've worked on all kinds of different shows- Soap operas are really fun, I like the one hour dramas also. But it's really exciting working on sitcoms because I kind of get a rush working in front of a live audience. Films are long hours and a lot of work, but very rewarding.

Terminator 4 - expecting one?

I think it'd be great if they made a fourth one. I'd guess it would depend on how well this one does at the box office. So make sure you all rush out to see it!

What's next for you?

Besides the unveiling of Terminator 3 on July 2nd, I am looking forward to the release of 's This Seat Taken'on the film festival circuit later this year, as well as a film called 'Changing Fates' that I shot a few months ago. 'Time Changer' will also be on video soon for those of you who missed it in the theatres.

Right now I am doing a lot of travelling and magazine photo shoots. But whenever any new and exciting projects arise I make sure it's posted on my website
